After working on several smaller design projects for Spectrum Strategies, I was hired to create a capabilities brochure, followed by several other pieces of marketing communication, including a website, trade show booth graphics, and a digital version of their yearly update "catalog," the Yearbook.
Spectrum is an architectural engineering and space-planning consulting company, and often it is difficult to describe what they do. They're more of a think tank for designing and utilizing work spaces. Our task was to show what Spectrum does without being entirely didactic. They consider themselves, after all, not just engineers, but "space artists" as well.
We created the concept of "gaining perspective" to present the idea of Spectrum helping companies gain "perspective" on the nature of their own operations. The brochure features a die-cut "window" through which you see only a pair of hands "framing" a picture of a cloud (when the brochure is closed).
