This was a fun little 2-D "animation piece" I did for a company that, unfortunately, didn't make it past the dot-com bubble burst of 2001. Edgix was another in a long line of numberous service providers jockeying for position in the expanding ISP market, but were unique in that they focused on providing "edge services"— large-scale content delivery on the service provider/end user side of the spectrum.
The "setting" for the actors on stage was a sorority house at a fictional university. Since I had no footage (the actors would be live on stage), I had to create everything from scratch, and I wanted the whole show to be "kitschy." As a result, I went with a "Lichtenstein" feel, modifying stock vector art to get the proper facial expressions.
is for... Interesting: The video you see here is what played behind the actors on stage during the live show. The voiceover is FPO and understandably low-res, included here so you can understand the storyline.
